Senegal
Sénégal is a country located in West Africa on the Atlantic Ocean, bordered by Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, Mali and Guinea. The country has a total area of 196,190 sq. miles, slightly smaller than South Dakota. Additionally the country of Gambia is like a finger poking inland into Senegal from the Atlantic Ocean. Except for the ocean, Gambia is surrounded by Senegal.
The nationality of the people is Sénégalese (singular and plural). French is the european language that is spoken there.

Wolof 36% Fulani 17%
Serer 17% Toucouleur 9%
Diola 9% Mandingo 9%
European and Lebanese and Other 3%
Similar elements of culture are common among the different ethnic groups, and it is usual for people to speak 3 or more local languages. Therefore a particular kind of unity exists among the people of Senegal.
