Kenya
KENYA is a country of East Africa situated on the Indian Ocean. It is bordered on the land by Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Nairobi is the capital but another important city is coastal Mombasa.
There are more than 5 major ethnic groups including the Kikuyu, Lubya, Luo, and Masai (Maasai). The country is well known for its game parks and wild animals. The Masai, a semi-nomadic people, are also well-known for their life-style and dramatic appearance.
Kenya produces many wonderful arts and craft items. These include carvings of wood and soapstone, beaded jewelry, and batik cloth.
