Brass is a yellowish alloy of zinc and copper which has been made for thousands of years in Africa and in other parts of the world. The uses of brass include jewelry, decorative ornaments for home or ceremonial settings, musical instruments and more. Different uses vary depending on the percentages of zinc and copper and what other metals have been added to the mixture to bring out specific properties. The color of the brass will also vary, depending on the amount of zinc: brass gets lighter in color with additional zinc and can reach a very pale yellow. There are many brass items available at Pan African City.
